The 1st edition of the CFM will be held from Wednesday, October 16 to Friday, October 18, 2013, within the setting of the Lumière festival at the cinema village on rue du Premier-Film in Lyon.   For three days, film industry professionals (producers, distributors, cinema operators, television broadcasters, rights holders, institutional organizations ...) will gather to discuss and exchange views on the present state and the future of classic cinema, its challenges and opportunities in a changing environment.

• Symposium: Lectures hosted by industry professionals on themes relating to classic cinema.
Program of the Symposium

• An area dedicated to the MFC: From Thursday, October 17, the Classic Films Market will be located in the Lumière Village. It will include stands, meeting points, as well as places where discussions and business can take place. A projection room will also be available.

• A “Distributers’ Day”, where DVD editors, distributors, or fi lm libraries can present their catalogs and line-ups and screen their fi lm clips (DCP, Blu-Ray).

• Lumière festival screenings: Free for Market accredited members.

• Lunches and meetings.

• A Market area in the Lumière Festival Village, rue du Premier-Film, where the Cinematograph was invented.
